First and foremost, I love playing percussion and simply making a joyful noise to the Lord.
To give you some more detail, however, I am a 17 year old percussionist who's been playing drum-set for six years and percussion in general for eight years. For the past four years, I've been the lead drummer at River Rock Church (in Belle Plaine, MN). I'm also a percussion teacher who has never failed to teach a student to play a full song within three lessons (and yes, I've had several students of all backgrounds).
While in the school band from 8th through 10th grade, I earned three band letters, was selected to two different honor bands (the Gustavus Adolphus Honor Jazz Band and the St. Thomas Honors Symphonic Band), and participated in the school's percussion ensemble, jazz band, and percussion ensemble. In 9th grade I was one of seven people selected to attend the University of Illinois' Summer Youth Music Pre-College Percussion program. In eleventh grade I partcipated in Crown College's percussion ensemble.
I love to play all sorts of styles (on all sorts of percussino instruments, not just drum-set). And though funk is my favorite, I am also quite proficient in hip-hop/rap, jazz, contemporary, pop, latin, and others.
Once again, first and foremost, I love playing percussion and simply making a joyful noise unto the Lord. I would love the chance to do this in any and every capacity, especially if I can earn money for 2017-18 college expenses in the process.

I play weekend and youth services for Crossroads Church in Woodbury, MN and I love it. It's a way for me to use my gift to glorify God. Presently, I don't have a band and I'm pretty bad at finding one, least of all a Christian band. I play several styles: Christian Alt. Rock such as Vertical Church Band, Crowder, Elevation Worship etc. And I love Christian Metal such as Memphis May Fire, For Today, Oh Sleeper, and August Burns Red. I'm not the best drummer on here, I'll openly admit that. But I'm easy to work with and I pride myself and good listening and following my superiors.
God gave music and it brings me to life. My purpose is to serve him using my talent.

Hey everyone! My name is Jon Olson and i have been playing drums for over 20 years now. I am a very rock orientated drummer but i love all kinds of music. I currently play for my church every Sunday, and i have been with them for 3 years now. I love to worship God and the lord Jesus with the talent he has blessed me with. Before i started playing at church, I played in a few different cover bands over the years doing anything from country to Hard rock. I just want to use my talent for the Lord and his kingdom. I cant wait to see where God will lead me in the future!
