Pennsylvania, Lilly – Jonathon Lassak

I have always had a passion for drumming. When I was younger I still remember thumping my fingers off the counter top just to get the beats out of my head. It wasn't until I was about 14 that I got my first Drum set. My friend Gary quickly took an interest in the guitar and we learned our instruments together. We eventually got pretty decent at playing but when I became saved I just couldn't play the worlds music anymore. I long for worship songs. Music that gives God praise! Sadly I haven't played a whole lot in the past few years because I just can't find anyone in my area that needs a worship drummer. I want to play in a band that LOVES God and only wants more of Him. I feel the Holy Spirit on me when I play and listen to worship. I just can't do anything meaningful with my life or for God without the Holy Spirit on me. So please if you feel like I would be a good fit send me an email. I live in PA but my wife and I are more than willing to move anywhere if it is God's call.

Pennsylvania, Orefield – Jay Edwards

Hello and God bless all the drummers on this page. It warms my heart to know that there are so many other musicians that play for God!

I am 40 years old and I have been playing since I was 9 (do the math). I began my internship as a modern day Levi in my father's church. I spent a few years away from God and played in a Punk/Rock/Metal fusion band. After rededicating my life to Jesus Christ, I have since played in three other churches. I have also had the blessing to play for many special regional events held by the Penn-Jersey district of Wesleyan churches, as well as outdoor festivals in Allentown and Bethlehem, PA. About 10 years ago, I also had the extreme pleasure of playing a night of music with Bob Fitts, who visited my home church at the time.

I am a passionate musician that plays the drums, percussion (afro-cuban) and bass. My influences are many (funk, rock, reggae, metal, disco) but I lean towards progressive rock, the likes of Neal Morse, Dream Theater, Rush and others.

Reasons I enjoy playing in a worship environment?
1. to see the faces of those who appreciate my gift
2. to hear that my playing has somehow had an impact on someone's life!

My hope is to one day play in a "mini-touring" or studio band that shares my passion for God and the music we play in the Proggy style.

If you live in the Lehigh Valley, stop in on a Sunday morning and check out the Gym service of Bethany Wesleyan Church. I can also be reached/stalked on"Facebook"
