Drummers in United States

Oklahoma, Oklahoma City – Max Gentry

I have been playing drums for about as long as possible. I feel drums play a big part in worship. I will play any type of music, but what I like best is newer contemporary similar to Hillsong. If you are interested, email me

Oklahoma, Oklahoma City – Mike Stone

Hi! I first started when I was 12 years old and I used my sisters Barbie doll cases to play to the beat I heard on the radio, yes, it drove everyone crazy! My parents ended up getting me a used set from my uncle and I started to develop some actual skills. Having never taken formal lessons, I started playing in church at 13. It started with just the early morning services and progressed to the point where I was the main drummer for every service. Through the years I've played with many local bands and several large churches. I'm 37 now and I'm ready to get back at it again! God has given me this gift and I want to use it to glorify Him! I'm looking to get back into a large church, local band with serious goals to get signed or both. My main style is rock but I can't play just about anything. I follow bands such as Red, Thousand Foot Crutch and Skillet to name a few. If you think I could help you please don't hesitate to get in touch, thanks!

Oklahoma, Tulsa – Jacob Washburn

It seems like Jacob Washburn was born with a fascination with drums and percussion. At age 8, his father took him to a pawn shop to look at student guitars but Washburn had other plans. There was a drum kit set up and - having never held a pair of drumsticks before - he picked them up and was hooked from his first beat. Never taking formal lessons, Washburn learned how to play drums by listening to his favorite CD's and watching music videos. Jacob likes to say that his drum instructors were Jon Bonham, Dave Grohl, and Neil Peart.

Washburn's first live performance - outside of his regular church-gig - he knew that there was nothing else he would rather do. Spreading love and joy through his music has always been Washburn's primary goal and upon watching him play, one can notice that message in every stroke. He works hard for all that he achieves and credits his family for his success due to their continued love and support. Washburn has always been patient in his musical ventures. "I understand that nothing happens overnight" he says and takes full advantage of any off-time to sharpen the skills that lend to his "in the pocket" style of playing.

To date, Washburn has earned a level 1 endorsement with Risen Drums and aside from proudly displaying his sparkling, custom kit on stages across the country, Washburn can regularly be seen in Risen apparel. Washburn is currently putting his endorsement to good use, joining the band of Tulsa area, award-winning pop singer Chase Stites (touring with the band spring through fall of 2012) and being featured in a music video with Christian band New Method. Washburn uses his time and reach to spread the word about Risen Drums and hopes to do the same for Dream Cymbals.

Washburn is seeking the endorsement of Dream Cymbals before the beginning of his upcoming tour and would appreciate the honor and privilege of spreading the word about Dream Cymbals all over the country.

Pennsylvania, Lilly – Jonathon Lassak

I have always had a passion for drumming. When I was younger I still remember thumping my fingers off the counter top just to get the beats out of my head. It wasn't until I was about 14 that I got my first Drum set. My friend Gary quickly took an interest in the guitar and we learned our instruments together. We eventually got pretty decent at playing but when I became saved I just couldn't play the worlds music anymore. I long for worship songs. Music that gives God praise! Sadly I haven't played a whole lot in the past few years because I just can't find anyone in my area that needs a worship drummer. I want to play in a band that LOVES God and only wants more of Him. I feel the Holy Spirit on me when I play and listen to worship. I just can't do anything meaningful with my life or for God without the Holy Spirit on me. So please if you feel like I would be a good fit send me an email. I live in PA but my wife and I are more than willing to move anywhere if it is God's call.
