My story: I started playing drums at the age of seven when my mother bought me my very first snare drum. After high school I began playing clubs and bars, from hole-in-the-wall dives to The Hard Rock Café. I played with some great bands, but in 1997 I decided, for my family, to leave that lifestyle and that environment. I turned my life over to our Lord and Savior and in the year 2000 was blessed with meeting an ex-con-turned-preacher that taught me that it didn't matter where we have been or what we have done, Jesus Christ has covered our sin. I began traveling with this preacher and others to Texas prisons. I'm not really sure who was blessed more, the men and women in those prisons, or me. Since 2008 I have focused on church praise and worship. I am very excited for the opportunity to serve Dr. Tony Evans and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship with the talent that God has given me, and for me and my wife Bridget of 27 years to become members of the OCBF Church Family. I am 64 and recently left my church after being their drummer for 17yrs. I left for spiritual reasons would like to find a good church in the mesquite or south garland texas area. Hello! Experienced drummer here looking for work in the Christian music scene. I've been playing drums for 34 years and have a lot of touring and studio experience. This is a new beginning for me. I've spent my entire career playing in secular rock and metal bands. After making a firm commitment to God to follow Him and His will for my life, I separated myself from the realm of secular music and have since been performing with the praise band at my church. I have all pro, tour ready equipment and am looking for a pro Christian band to connect with, grow together in Christ, and devote our professional music careers to reaching others in Jesus' name. Stylistically, I would like to join a band similar to MercyMe, Big Daddy Weave, Third Day, JJ Weeks, Kutless, etc. My acoustic kit is a DW collectors series all maple kit with Paiste cymbals.
